Rally Sunday September 19, 2010 We Have a Story To Tell! Most of us are familiar with many of the stories in the Bible. Who hasn’t heard of Adam & Eve, Moses in the Bulrushes, Noah & the Ark, David & Goliath, Samson & Delilah, David & Bathsheba, Daniel in the Lion’s Den, Ruth & Naomi, or Joseph & his Coat of Many Colors? All these great stories about fear, trust, disobedience, deceit, answered prayer, bravery, love, lust, friendship and faithfulness were told from one generation to the next and finally written down for future generations to love and learn from. These stories show God acting in people’s lives and their response. Indeed, each of us has a story to tell, and we’ll have an opportunity to hear several of them on Sun., Sept. 19, our Rally Day kickoff. Leslie Petit is video-taping how faith has impacted the lives of our members who have become channels of God’s love in numerous ways. How do YOU tell the story of God’s love in words or in actions? Our congregation has a story to tell also. The chairs of our various mission and ministry teams are preparing displays to show all the many ways we minister to our members and reach out to our neighbors. Following the service, you and your guests will have an opportunity to peruse and/or perhaps sign up to participate. Too fun to miss! Pot Luck Brunch - 10:30
